Vintage ASI Alvord Systems Analog GM2000Geiger-Mueller Amplifier 0-100 mA

The simplicity of operation makes this unit easily adaptable to existing
Alvord Systems
x-ray piezogoniometers or to other commercially manufactured units in the quartz crystal industry. The Geiger-Mueller tube and amplifier unit coupled together display an output on the analog meter. Supplied with a Geiger Mueller tube assembly, the GM tube detects a x-ray of sufficient strength, the tube conducts and causes a change in the current drawn by the tube. This change is of a very low level signal that must be amplified before it can be used by the system. The GM2000 contains a sensitive amplifier that converts this low level current change in the GM tube output to a voltage displayed on an analog meter.
