    Stanley Insulating Co lidded thermal Pitcher (St. Vincent Hospital, Los Angeles)
    Vintage Stanley metal thermal pitcher with hinged lid features engraving for the St. Vincent Hospital in Los Angeles which opened originally in 1856. The engraving is faint and difficult to see in photos but is quite legible and clear in person. This pitcher is devised with insulated double walls so it can hold hot liquids and keep them hot or reverse (keep cold liquids cold) and made by the Stanley Insulating Co, Great Barrington, MS. The metal is likely Nickel Silver (40% silver) and measures 6" (15.24 cm) tall, 5" (12.7 cm) wide, with a 1 3/4" (4.445 cm) opening and a 4 1/8" (10.4775 cm) base. In good used condition with interior pitting, dents, tarnish stains and scratches.
