Here is a wonderful antique piece of Victorian silverplate! This vase or centerpiece is a large cracked egg, complete with jagged edges along the entire top rim of the piece. Going around the egg, there is a lizard, bee, cicada, and butterfly on each side. There are four legs formed from oak leaves, acorns and twigs. It rests on a squared base with round edges, and a frieze of butterflies and flowers. This vase stands 10 " tall and measures 7 5/8" across. The base is marked Derby and CO.  and numbered 4800
