Antique syrup pitcher? silver plate cut like glass ornate decoration.

Description

The pitcher features a tarnished silver plate top handle and finial top to pourer. The finial opens up. The top handle may be a gargoyle. Top finial lid is a lion on his hind legs holding a shield and the spout features a cherub in an oval frame. There is decoration border around the top. So much going on. The bottle has a glass with a criss cross diamond cut like pattern; probably crystal. It could use an interior cleaning. The silver is tarnished and dark but tarnished fairly consistently. The inside under lid has spots; see pics; as found. They may just be tarnish spots; no pit like feelings. The underside has some scratches; normal for age and use. Some dirt in spots and the inside has some brown stains in spots that can probably be cleaned. Measures 12" X 5.5" X 5.25".
